olympics & art

Two days to the start of the olympics!! are you kidding me?! im beyond amped. of course i have to watch the basketball, but other than that im interested in seeing michael phelps represent the u s of a. ill be watching the gymnastics for sure; definately one of my favorite olympic sports, judo and taekwondo as always, and im pulling for Gao Ning (spell check?) from Singapore to snag a medal in table tennis. he was rated like number 10 worldwide when i checked last week. but something i plan on witnessing for the first time...archery. im kind of interested to see how competitive that is. dont get me wrong, i dont doubt its intense, i mean the bullseye is what like 10 cm wide or something...but im sure every archer can hit it right? anyways..cant wait.

check out this genius: Michael freakin Rea--his sculpting skills are like, ignorant. i cant tell if these are actually wooden, or if the material he used was painted to give off a wooden look/feel.

but i mean regardless...the detail..c'mon. i personally like the band scene but the halo look alikeis equally as insane.

ok im done

reese's.

a saturday night

I usually hate weddings. everyone gets so romantic and sentimental and it seems love is almost tangible. ugh. but last night i went to my cousin's in Long Beach and i have to say i had a pretty good time.

the actual wedding was at a japanese garden on Long Beach St's campus. quite lovely.

one thing im beginning to loathe: chris brown's first name being chris. i cant stand it..and with every party i go to i get more and more frustrated. "hey whats your name?" "chris.." "chris brown?!"..... "NO B*%#@!"

anyways...

ive been checking out Australian based Rittenhouse who dropped their fall/winter 2008/09 collection a little while ago..very classy and simple.

it has a streetwear feel without looking trendy and has a way of standing out without causing any attention. and im amped for the start of the olympics this week! aside from the obvious athletic and pride appeal, there are some sneaker drops im ready to catch.

last words..
do you want to learn to dance?

i can do the centepede.

later gators.
