musicianship? please.

Okay. i was watching "the n" this evening, fresh prince was on. and i saw a commercial. it was like one of those where they find a famous person to promote their channel. like, "hi, im so n so, and youre watching the n". and guess who i saw? lil mamma. now i really dont like the radio so ive heard one of her songs. that annoying lip gloss song. so anyways she goes "hi im lil mamma aka 'the voice of the young people' and youre watching the n". i almost turned off the tv. who gave you my voice?! first offfffff: dont ever self proclaim yourself. thats terrible. 2nd: you arent even a music artist. anyone can say: my lip gloss is poppin. this is why im so anti-radio. i mean dont get me wrong..MOST artists i respect simply because ive taken stabs at music and its harder than imagined...BUT alot of the stuff i hear now is pretty bogus. i mean...soulja boy? c'mon. I COULD DO THAT! music is, john legend, brian mcknight, death cab, alicia keys, the beetles, stevie wonder, common, mos, talib, erykah b., corinne bailey rae, de la soul, drake, lauryn hill, lupe, joss stone, nas, maxwell, keane, musiq, tribe, robin thicke, BEETHOVEN and GARTH BROOKS! i would just like a decent, im not even asking for a good one, a decent representation of musicianship. it takes no talent to "crank dat". am i wrong?
im just saying. wake up. can the music have a message? not "ay bay bay". i mean im not a big new school rap fan..but can we get some talent on the air waves? it kinda frustrates me. maybe i shouldnt state my opinion so boldly..but thats why this is my blog.

last words: the fact that i have a new york hat doesnt make me a yankee. just because you can get ahold of a mic doesnt make you an mc. support the artist not the idea of one.

peace with 2 fingers.
